Josh Portman is a Business and Tax Law Partner at B.J. Kang Law, PC. Mr. Portman graduated from Georgetown University Law Center's Masters in Taxation (LL.M.) program (May 2014). Prior to joining B.J. Kang Law, Mr. Portman interned with the Chief Counsel at the Office of Tax and Revenue in Washington, DC.
Mr. Portman's practice centers on providing quality federal and state legal advice, including transactional services to businesses, associations, executives, and high-net-worth individuals and their families. Mr. Portman advise clients on complex domestic and international corporate and business transactions and matters, as well as domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, and related holding company transactions; employment and business related disputes; formation issues and corporate governance; and highly regulated compliance matters in the health and insurance industries. Mr. Portman is admitted to practice law in both the state of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Prior to attending Georgetown, Mr. Portman earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Syracuse University College of Law (2013) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), in Political Science, from the University of Vermont (2008).
